A Sample of Cecily Moon

Good afternoon blog readers.  You probably weren't expecting to come across this today.  Neither was I.  I have just been thinking about creating a new blog for a while and went for it.  I appreciate you were probably looking for something else when you came across this so, thanks for getting this far.  

I have written blogs before, but I wanted to start a new one because the others ones I write are generally specific to one subject or another.  This one I want to be less specific, there is so much to write about.

As I write this, the Queen and the country is celebrating her Platinum Jubilee, seventy years on the throne.  From a young girl who worked hard for the war effort, to celebrating in the streets with her beloved sister when the war was won, to a lady of ninety-six who has seen it all.  

We have the cost of living crisis where even supermarket savers brands have almost doubled in price over the past year or so.  Everything is going on, so much so that people are spotting it easily on their supermarket receipts.  There are no subtle rises going on here.

To the States where Amber Heard has just lost the defamation case to Johnny Depp.  Is anyone surprised that she lost? I don't think so.  Watching her speak in court, giving evidence, you would be forgiven for thinking she was auditioning for the part in a court room drama.  It's hard to read Heard properly, I suspect that she has a lifetime of this sort of behaviour though.

Also in the States, the mass shooting of children.  It's not, obviously, but it seems to be accepted there at the moment as the US goes through a period where they are torn between their right to own a gun, and the fact that those guns that anyone can have are being used to kill innocent children and their teachers in a place where they should all be safe.  Of course, there are also the thousands of other innocents who are killed in mass shootings in malls, places of worship or just walking down the street.

This is just a sample of what I'll cover here in this blog when I get going.
